Good evening - my name is Mark and I live in Scotland!
I drive a 2011 Audi A3 which I love, but with a baby on the way I would like something a bit bigger which would also be better in winter (Audi's aren't exactly known for their snow-driving capabilities!) - so I want to buy a Land Rover.
I am a mechanic and actually own my own garage, so you'd think the decision would be easy - which it would - if I wanted an older model. I, however, want to buy a newer (2010 or newer) model and obviously I don't have much experience with those as they haven't had a chance to break down or need an MOT yet.
That is where you come in!
I need something that will be comfortable to ride in, have power when needed and get through a Scottish winter unscathed.
I would prefer a petrol engine but would accept a diesel if it ticked all the other boxes.
I actually went to see a Range Rover Classic (1981 Vogue V8) earlier this week and was VERY tempted to buy but the seller wouldn't budge on price and I know the wife would kill me if I bought an "ancient" car.
Anyway, I'm prattling on. I look forward to meeting (well, not literally, you know what I mean!) you all.
