Yep, I think it's been achieved on both types of rear door lock. Just have to get creative with bending the rods. I think one of the different styles of locks needs taking to bits and altering/bodging.

I'm amazed nobody has produced a straightforward lock upgrade by now! The lockless central locking is definitely appealing though, thanks chaps. It's amazing how paranoid you get once you've walked round a station car park looking for the landy that's no longer there! I might be getting a bit obsessed with security...

Yeah, I think the back on one mine I am going to have to drill out the rivets and attach a rod to part of it inside.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. But it's not a bad thing to be obsessed with.

I'm finally (nearly) happy with my security improvements. End of the day and as it's been said before, if somebody wants it, they will have it regardless. Either winched on to a flatbed or hiab'ed up and away!

GPS tracker is another reasonably cheap and easy install to make you sleep a bit better at night. If you can install the central locking, you can handle the DIY style GPS tracker (yes yes, I know it's not infallible)

I have to admit a tracker and a decent immobiliser are at the top of the list – as are pedal lock, gear lock... and hopefully good old fashioned door locks...

All expensive and not nearly as much fun as the toys I'd usually have been considering, but ultimately better than losing another one!

Indeed. Ideally I wanted to fit deadlocks but they are so damn expensive £500 fitted for 2 sides... Defender doors could be prized open with a crobar or just smash the window so seemed a little pointless.. Also never seen the point in gear locks as the often lock onto the gear knob which you can often just pull off!!

Rather buy the X-Eng pedal lock box + Disklok with the half moons welded on the back (prevents peeling it off) Was also thinking of the X-Eng column casing, seals the ignition barrel in a block of billet steel. I would like a secondary alarm with a tilt sensor & aux battery, makes it a little harder to HIAB if the alarms going mad!

Think im going to change my insurer to Heritage when mines up with Flux. Free Sky tracker & subscription with every policy last time I checked. Obviously don't advertise you have one as they could be prepared with a jammer etc..

Luckily for my my 90 is currently parked on a private gated estate with night security and one entrance in or out. So if its not me driving my 90 it wont be leaving the area. Also covered under tones of monitored CCTV. So I sleep quite well.

I do worry when its at my girlfriends place or the station however...

I think X-Eng will be taking a lump of my pocket money too - I like the idea of a pedal lock that's always in place and the column casing. I could never be bothered with my clutch claw as it was such an arse to fit and I always parked under a cctv camera at the station... which we now know doesn't work... Living in a semi-rural area there's no shortage of landies at the station each morning, but it's the series and early models that seem to disappear - I guess the later shiny ones are more hassle, so I don't need to make it impregnable, just more impregnable than the one next to me...

The GPS is only another £22... and then £5 a month. From what I gather, not much more 'jammable' than the skytag, but a lot cheaper and you can access it when you want (not only when your car is stolen and even then, they only talk to the FCR).

I use mine daily and that makes me happy. It's even handy when you get lost in the car park.
