I'm fairly sure that the fit is the same, mine looks exactly like the civilian one In had on my last SIII. Best place ask would be Exmoor trim - could you let me know because I'm thinking about one too.
 
sure . exmore told me they are same . but i dont see how as the car is 4// narower .i have been bidding on exmore ebay 88 hoods. no luck yet .i cant beleive that i have been out bid so often ? & i have bid well . not sure if the quality is there with exmore as the new hood on my 90 grows a lot of mould ! I am thinking may be undercover may be a better job ! no rush something to hunt for .reg mick
 
Don't quote me, but the width difference is really because the LW doesn't have that 2" thick slab added along the sides when the Series II was launched.

true but its about an inch narrower on the body tub as well as can be seen at rear end if hard top is fitted
