Hi chaps finally took the plunge and got a Landy. Only thing is it has a few probs. right hand head lamp very dull as is the side light. The panel lights don't work but I did have them going for a few mins. And last but not least the temp gauge for water or oil don't work (it's a diesel)!!

I'm guessing a bad earth but have no idea as to where I should start looking.

Any help would be super

have a look in front of rad under front grill, the headlights use a common earth here (well they did on mine) just cut out the old bullet connectors and remade them.. best place to start IMOH

Do lightweights have electrics?... ;)

check the earthhh on the screws holding the lamp-holder in place. That used to be a favourite.

And stick some pics up, there are too few straightish leetweyts abart.

Well that's the panel lights and I think the head lights sorted (can't tell as the sun is shining) but they seem to be roughly the same. Just need to see what happens with the temp gauge? How do you test a sender for the tmp anyway??

Temp and fuel gauge both dead? A common problem with these is the voltage stabiliser mounted on the back of the temp? Gauge. If both are dead I would put money on that.

Fuel gauge working fine although a bit lazy. Right hand head lamp not working on dip and not as bright as the other on beam. Might just be bad bulbs!!
