hi, has anybody else changed the self tapping screws for small bolts when replacing indicators and side lights? Mine has one or two missing and think I would like to replace them.

Personally I swapped mine for 20mm coated wood screws
The problem with nuts and bolts is getting them off when they get rusty

I replaced one of mine with a bolt when the screw holesbecame enlarged. It's a bit tricky to get a spanner in at the side of an indicator!

Each to their own but nuts and bolts seems like a ball ache when the access to the back of the light fittings isn't very good

Alloy Rivnuts and standard M6 button head bolts ..

First I found, not necessarily best or cheapest ...

Stainless screws. Cheap and useful for dozens of things on the landy - door trims etc.

+1 I have bags of various size SS screws and I replace with these when possible. I done all the rear light clusters on the Disco with them as well. I Get them at Screwfix.

That's what I've done dead easy to get them off then.
