In the process of changing out the left blend motor, I know the easy one, managed to cut the cable right at the old motor so there should be plenty to splice with.

Cannot get enough cable out to connect new one and wonder if anyone know roughly how much you should be able to pull out, i.e. how long it is.

Maybe the airbag needs to come out and then theres room there to splice?

tbh, when I did mine, I put the new one into the multiplug at the back of HEVAC, easier to take the center console off than fight behind the pipes trying to splice in at the motor.

Thanks, by looking at options think thats the way to go:)

Pulled a bit harder on cable, spliced new motor on and all good, book symbol gone.

The difficult top screw on the blend motor was sorted by drilling right through rear face vent pipe and repair with duct tape.

Bit tricky to get the screw back on but I super glued the screw to the screwdriver and easy on it went:)

So the f**** book symbol came up the other day, diagnostic tells me it's the right blend motor, couldn't believe it but with thoughts of me pulling cable earlier was thinking bad/loose connection was a slim possibility as I did touch the unit end of cables when pulling to avoid troubles.

Succes, today at Halfrauds I aquired the tool for taking out the radio unit and was then able to seat all connections on HEVAC unit properly, clear fault with my LYNX and no more book symbol for now, touch a bunch of wood:)

Saved taking the HEVAC unit out which is painful compared to radio:rolleyes:
Tools very useful for when the heater core o-rings needs doing as i can do the "screw" from radio unit thanks to my extra long screwdrivers acquired for purpose on old car.

Anyone needing the same radio tool its here: Halfords | Autoleads Audio Release Keys PC5-93
