Well, after a long day of leak busting, I am finally on my way to having a 'watertight' land rover! BUT (as always) there is one that I am not sure sure about how to fix. On rear passenger side window (90 SW), water seems to find its way in through the bottom of the glass on the sliding part. Not sure how to fix! Any ideas? Thanks.

Bump!

Have been considering sealing them up from the inside with silicone around the glass but not sure if this is a good idea or not. I never really use the rear windows so not bothered about being able to open them. Share your thoughts? :D

yeah I've used that before but it doesn't cover my issue :D Thanks anyway! Think I am just going to seal it up when I take the rear seats out for sound proofing in a couple of weeks.

If you look at the windows there should be a drain to the outside if I recall correctly - clear that and at least then the water getting in the channel goes out instead of in. The usual moss/green crud usually gets in and clogs the drains.

ajrr

Please add page 35 when you sort your leak.... sound proofing rear seats is a bit heavy... a fat bird and some WD40 normally sorts that one :)

mm - I have cleared out the drainage holes but it still seems to seep in under the glass. I'll take another look tomorrow but I still think I will be sealing them up >.>
