N natdawson Member Apr 3, 2015 #1 Whilst looking under my Disco 1 to see if I had a hole in the exhaust which thankfully I don't I spotted this well leaky bit. So what is the cylindrical bit connected to the propshaft which appears to be losing a little bit of oil?

S sam7986 Member Apr 3, 2015 #2 the handbrake lol Perhaps its just your transfer box tha leaky and whilst driving the oil has been carried by the wind onto the drum

S sam7986 Member Apr 3, 2015 #4 I'd be surprised if it wasn't leaking, if you look underneath mine its covered in oil from the sump back to the transfer box I put it down to being a Land Rover, if its not leaking its out of oil

N natdawson Member Apr 3, 2015 #5 Fair enough, well that and the copious amounts of wax oil it has supposedly had should keep the rust at bay I was planning on servicing the beastie some point soon so will attend to it then. Thanks for your help.
