It's all going Pete Tong

Overnight the slight drip from the tank has become a very bad leak...reckon i've lost 5 litres :eek:

Now, IF ican get hold of some liquid metal i'll run that along the seam...but i'm not sure they sell it here (they hate chemicals)..anyone any other suggestions?

I've got a tank waiting for me in the UK but i've got a 300 mile trip to get there in 2 weeks...eek eek!!

Not really...supposed to be a one way trip moving back...hardly enough room for me at the mo let alone an extra tank!

dont know what it is .. but i read some time ago about rubbing 'ivory soap' over the effected area, it seals it. worth mentioning i thought.

just done a quick search and loads of posts explaining plugging it with things from a wooden dowel, to a screw with some sort of rubber washer. hope this has helped

Just googled it..its a bar of soap!! Lol...well i suppose thats just like wax really..it'd work short term on a small leak i reckon.

I've found a place that sells Liquid Metal...open tomorrow...I wont have to worry about emptying the tank at this rate, it'll be all gone!!

could post you some out but you'll have to wait a few days for post?
late as ever

It is likely that your tank will only be leaking when more than 1/2 full and above the seam??

The leak will get worse as the fuel washes away years of muck etc... keep the tank below half full till you get over. Dont be tempted to fill it up when you have done a temp repair :) Keep a least one 5ltr can in the back just in case
