Good evening,
First post so take it easy lol
I recently purchased a l322 td6 2004, within a month I had the well documented LCM issues.
Sent my LCM to be refurbished and problem solved......or so I thought a couple of months later the problems are back! Our man in Harrogate took it back to test and couldn't find an issue gave it a good going over and was convinced nothing wrong.
Re installed today all worked fine for a few mins......
And guess what......
Problems are back 1 rear light permanent, 1 side repeater, and one headlight.

Any thoughts/suggestions/help....????

If not......I guess it's a new LCM? It's part number ywc500280 anyone know if ywc500282 is the superceded part number (seems so online)

I have cake available...as per other posts

What are they doing?
are there any light faults showing on the dash?
Are there any fault codes in the LCM?
If you unplug the LCM for a few minutes and reconnect it is everything ok again for another 5 mins?

Hi mate
Must have been the cake lol
No lights appear on the dash (they did for the initial install but now gone for good) so no no indicator arrows etc

The hazards were the first to go started flashing very slowly after engine off

Now however
All lights mentioned on initial post are "fixed on"
The rear initially flashed but I took back out did a battery reset and now are just stuck on
Need to disconnect battery to turn off

Indicators don't work
Main beam works on switch but not shown on dash

I have a carsoft i930 coming in the post tomorrow to hopefully read codes

Thanks

Does sound like an LCM fault. I guess you'll need to see what fault codes show up tomorrow and go from there. Be careful if you buy another LCM as they store a backup of the mileage and I've heard your dash will change to what ever is on the LCM if it's higher than the dash.

If you are around Manchester area i have a spare LCM that you can try. It's for a later car but it will prove if your LCM is faulty or not. Everything works but it flashes the brake lights every 6 seconds or so.

update....so plugged a reader in and it will not connect to any module relating to lights.
So it would seem the lcm is not communicating with the rest of the vehicle (properly)
After to stints at the refurb guy I think it's time to try and source another 😔
