Have attached a pic of my discovery 1 roof and as you can see the laquer has gone on most of it, having never really done anything with paint correction or anything, is there any way to restore this or is it a case of rubbing it all done and having to have a respray?

I would rub it down and get some rattle cans and spray it ma self ,
Would look much better than it does now and wouldn't cost a silly amount
Masking tape/newspaper
Wet and dry
Primer
Top coat
And a nice day :)

Was thinking that way myself no one will ever see it. Was thinking of spraying it ask but not sure if it would right or not?

As long as you rub it down well and prep it ,like you say its the roof and out the way so not in full vision, what colour is it looks black in pic ?

Just give at a go you should be able to get some paint knocked up at halfords they do a colour match service,or to keep it cheaper just go a nice gloss black ,I used black plasticote on my 90 and the finish is quite good.

I did my old sherpa van in brunswick green and cream many years ago.. Used cellulose for the main body and dulux undercoat and gloss for the roof and wheels.

The roof and wheels outlasted the rest..............
