Hi, I'm looking to get my injector seals done. Does anyone know of a good indy garage in Glasgow who will have experience of this job?

Thanks!

I use Glasgow Commercials in Paisley (formerly Reids). They deal with cars and trucks, and one of their mechanics is a long time Landy owner who has worked in Land Rover specialists in the past.

Any ones I've heard of in Glasgow are nothing but rip off merchants. If you're willing to make the journey I can highly recommend gemm4x4 in Larbert, Falkirk. Cracking guys who know what they're doing and they only deal with Land Rovers

falkirk is actually nearer to me than paisley/some parts of glasgow.

do you have any rough idea of their labour charges?

the reason i ask is my local garage who i normally get things done in charge £45 an hour and they let me supply the parts. Down side is, it will often take them a bit longer due to them not being 'specialists'. Wouldn't mind travelling somewhere like that and just wait about for the 2-3 hours.

No idea mate, just phone and ask. If you speak to George the owner just tell him that David that used to have the banged up 90 recommended them. They wouldn't have a problem with you supplying parts but I highly doubt you would be able to sit and wait on it as they're usually a very busy garage. You could try and arrange it so that they get it done in the same day though, I imagine they would. Number is 01324557735

+1. I knew them when I was in the Owners Club some years ago, they have a very good reputation too.

Edit: I tried to put up a link to their website, but it isn't working. gemm4x4.co.uk

PS - don't email, that's an old address and you wont get any reply.

Thanks guys. Gave em a ring there. Said it's a job they can do but couldn't give me an estimate just now. And I see what you mean about busy - fully booked well into next week.

He's not that busy then, usually more of a wait!

haha!

bit of a pain though, as my only day off next week is Tuesday, which would have been ideal. Would have to be the week after then. Hopefully limp on until then.
Would have hoped for a VERY ROUGH estimate however though, as it seems to be a job they knew very well. But if you guys can vouch for them, that'll do. thanks

Beware the Blue boxed products, think he's an authorised supplier!

They will also drop you at Larbert or Falkirk Grahamston station if need be.
I'm on the Grahamston line which makes it really handy for getting home.

be careful supplying your own parts.. if something fecks up then i doubt they'll fix it and will blame it on crappy parts
