I know this thread has been weight related re MOT testing older Landrovers and my 1993 5 door Disco hasn't been an issue but there is an even more serious problem, brake testing. There is a testing station near me where I took the Disco and when it came to the brake test he popped the motion sensor on the floor and went for a drive. When I asked why he didn't use the brake testing kit he said they couldn't do constant 4WD on it, took my ticket and legged it.

This year I went to another station and enquired about brake testing, "no problem, we can test all cars". Will go there again, especially as my primitive welding passed the grade.
