Just got my renewal reminder from Lancaster for tpft £ 544.oo

Last year it was about £200.Ive not made any claims so whats going on? Think Im going to search for something a bit better.Why do they always try and take the **** ?

Mine went up an all so...
went on confused.com and first quote did it for just over a hundred, big drop from 500 quid eh.

Ring em up and tell em to shove it. They'll no doubt offer you a better deal to try and keep you. Tell em to shove it anyway.

Same with mine in the pic there ^^ 2nd car 2000miles, fully comp, greenlaning cover, everything declared tyres, lift, lights, cage etc etc etc £174... bargain

This is a bit of a "bulls***t ploy by insurance companies ref "laning cover".

green lanes are public rights of way and part of the road network, your vehicle has to be taxed insured and MOT'd to drive them......ANY insurance has to cover that.

Although NFU will also cover you if you write your motor off in a farmers field (so long as you had good reason to be there obviously!)

Just an update. My wife did all the screen scraper stuff on the net and cheapest we could get was £176 tpft

. with sureterm Bit better than £544

from Lancaster. Just shows it pays to shop around.

Right on.

No options for the insurance company - the law says they MUST cover it, and that would still apply even if they were stupid enough to put in a condition saying "does not cover laning".
