Check Dip Beam
Transmission Fail Safe Prog

When I switch on dipped beam the nearside lamp flickers and both lights pan up and down vigorously and the instrument binnacle lights flicker.

Any ideas

Turns out that the nearside dipped beam light was arking and has fried the complete headlight unit and taken out a steering sensor.

Total cost of repair is just over £1,000!!!

OUCH!

Just had a call from the garage.

Faulty headlight unit has also destroyed the ABS ECU - another £600!!!

My question is - could the N/S headlamp unit have been damaged when they recently changed the collant reservoir, radiator and head gaskets? I hadn't used the headlights since getting it back from these repairs.

Just a thought...........

This is a difficult one,who is doing the work - it all sounds a bit odd to me.Is it a main dealer or an indy ?
