hi Guys went to Stephenson really helpful and friendly.
Told me the problem was not gearbox related its a miss fire as it is in every gear when trying to call for more fuel and air to speed up he quoted if i drive like a granny id never know a problem.
so had diagnostics and codes that showed up are p1e30,p3505,p1260( fuel pressure),p09f6(rail pressure) ??? i think maybe be to do with a fuel pump in tank or around it also one of the first codes are boost something???? and glow plugs but i have no problem starting hot or cold always first time .

Hi guys sorry to be a pain.
I typed these codes in and found some old post you guys have commented on and iam sure it is to do with the injectors and rail pressure got to be as i have no problem starting her and she drives normal if you driver her like my nan drives keeping under 305k revs and to stick to speed limits (as i do anyway near schools and play areas) can any one recommend anything local places garages to Hertfordshire or Stevenage.

See they could of just given you a new gearbox if they wanted too !
My TD6 gearbox refurb from them cost me just over £2k !
You might just be lucky now, just some injector issues...
Proper diagnostics should show you a proper fault description not just a code
I'd highly recommend you get your own kit. RSW all comms is only £250
Great bit of kit, and will pay for its self quickly ! Don't know how you can own a range rover without your own diagnostics to hand !

Hi Hippo, Jason was sound and was straight up going to get my gearbox servicing from them as its £150+ for full gear box.
Im going to an independent LR guy and going to have a drip test or something on injectors then use his diagnostic tool as well.
I am going to start looking for what you have recommended now any suggestions where i could find one?

Ok cheers mate.
i did see his web page but was not sure it was ok as it was in the statesand also saw a messages to avoid the fakes so wanted to be sure.
