if your audio/video screen has stopped working, check fuse 49 in the glove box to make sure that it is ok. Also check for water ingress in the audio compartment on the left had side in boot space - the quarter windows above the compartment is well known to leak and cause water damage to the audio hardware. With regards to it not going i drive what engine have you got V8 or TD6?? when you say the binnacle works intermittently what exactly do you mean, do you mean the needles dont move, or do you mean the mini lcds on the screen are hard to read??

Hi - all the fuses are ok. The car is petrol. The instrument binnacle was completely dead not just lcds but has started working again. The gear lever was going into D but not going forward. Having been put into reverse, drive suddenly worked again. A mate suggested it might be an electronic issue to do with the gearbox ecu.
