Hi I have just recently put a discovery transfer box in to my 2007 td5 defender but I can’t seem to get the speedo working even tho I’ve joined the wires apart from the three pin connector behind the hand brake which I think is just for the dash light.is there something I’ve missed
Cheers rob

why have you joined the wires ,didnt you remove the speedo drive ,housing and transducer from your old box to the disco box

No I should of read up on it first but two of the connectors where the same one for the temp and I thought the other was the speedo

The 3-pin connector is for the speedo on a Defender. On a Disco it uses the ABS signals to drive the speedo but Defenders use the transducer on the transfer box. Disco transfer boxes don't have the fitting for the Defender speed transducer, so you'll need to swap the relevant parts over from old to new. You'll also have some 2-pin connectors- one for the diff lock light and one to tell the TD5 ECU that the transfer box is in low range.

you can but speedo drive housing can be tight in the output housing
Ok thanks
