Can anyone help with the knocking that I get on taking up drive usually when cold. It is intermittent but has now become prolonged.Vehicle is 1998 1.8 3DR Hardback.Thanks

Ignore the children. They are cold and fatigued after a bad journey in their drafty sheds.

Check the propshaft univeral joints for wear. Also the three rubber bushes around the rear diff and the two rubber VCU mounts.

There are plenty of posts about this sort of stuff in the Freelander section.

Ah but my dracter comes equiped with a one piece thermal, windproof and waterproof suit... no drafty leaking cold Land Rover experience fer me!
