Bigger bar or bigger muscles needed.
Get the flea spray ready, dog will be scratching after catching the flea transporter.
 
I'll get a bigger bar from a mate. One point, though, are the bolts "one time" stretchy bolts?

Dog is always flea\worm\tick protected. Would be a flippn' nightmare otherwise.

Okay dokey, all going fine and I'm on the final tighten and I'm confused about the final torque. manual says 98ft lbs and another says 1-4 caps at 52 and rear 68 lbs.
Initial tighten I did to 14ft lbs for settling.

What gives?

52 and 68 is the correct torque for mains 98 is diesel cast iron block engine
 
cool, thanks. I was wondering as I couldn't see the alloy block doing so well at such torque.
 
That's what I did - bit by bit. All back together, but looks like heavy rain, so bath time me thinks. I did poke the timing chain and it's slack as a hooer's knicker elastic, so I might have a gander if I can find the time.
 
Just reporting in. All seems well and the knocking is all gone.

A good tip for a priming tool for the oil pump is the shaft of one of your dad's golf clubs. Take off rubbery handle and shorten to preferred length and then nip it in the vice. It can be long enough so it doesn't foul any pipes and you can stand on the bumper while the neighbours look at you. 2 mins and pump is primed.

Of note though, I took a ciggy out my top pocket and a nut fell out and disappeared down the dizzy hole. Sigh, off with the sump again and I coaxed it out with a strong magnet.
