hi all
just a note to all range rover owners.
i traveled from Leigh to Weymouth (Sunday) the other week(for Olympics)got there no problems 277 miles, parked up went to relieve myself and get a brew, went to the car to get my kit out pressed the key fob and nothing(sh@t),opened with the key but display requested a key code, guess what i didn't have one, so i phoned Merlin in Doncaster where the car originally came from and i got told we don't give that info out over the phone and hung up. so i searched for the nearest dealer in Poole same answer(if i took my log book to them they will give the key code i didn't have my log book). so i rang land ranger services in atherton my local independent ( they know me well as used to run a disco and a classic) thinking there may be a universal code, within an hour they had my code and all is well now must of been interference.i had a bit of a sweat on Sunday night as i had to go to the London Olympics on Monday afternoon and my boss wouldn't of been happy if i couldn't get there.
morale of the story get as much info for your range rover as possible before going any where!!

Your mistake was unlocking with the key - I know the fob didn't work, but if the Rangie was loked on the fob and opened with the key, you will need to enter the EKA code....

So yes, have it handy if your fobs are little unreliable...

Glad you got it sorted...
