Is this only a problem on Merkin LHD defenders?

I haven't heard or come across UK defenders catching fire. Discoverys are a different matter though. I've come across a couple that have caught fire due to rear window wiring faults but mainly it's V8's with LPG systems that go up.

I've not heard of it, NAS Defenders are all V8s, so diesel owners have nothing to worry about.
It might be worth V8 owners checking the condition of the pipes.
Whilst I would not accuse anyone of scaremongering, they are trying to sell a kit to avoid the "problem."

It's where the lines sit in relation to the manifold. So first you need to have a manifold close to the pipes then they need to be dodgey.
