You dun't notice yer motor gittin sluggish as the air filter fills with crud, but when yer stick a noo'un in & it can breathe again it feels like a noo' motor!

Ah only got the filter cos it was cheap, said 200tdi disco on the box and might save me a couple of bob in the long run;) Dunno how much the cleaner is for it yet!:eek:

I wouldn't count on it... never had much time fer K&N filters, never seen one that made a happeth o' difference, even on turbo charged engines. About the only thing I have seen them do is change the induction noise so that Studly MacNonut's thinks his chavriot sounds like a racing car ;)

He'll notice the difference if he int changed his filter for a while whether he replaces the old'un wiv a K&N or a fekin Dr Whites! ;)
 
K&N gave good results on a fiesta zetec S i had as a youth, but you need to sort out some custom pipe work with it to really get good gains (Powerflow exhausts do this kinda thing) just sticking a free flow filter onto the restrictive standard airbox/pipework alone will just give more noise.
Cold air feeds into the standard air box gives similar results but don't go wading with one fitted !!!

Ah've just fitted it and took it for a wee test run, was sittin' quite happy at 70mph with plenty more to go;) :D
Ah'm gonna be changin' me tyres soon so don't know if it'll make a difference instead of me mud tyres:D

lol, so whens the next right place and time :)
its tempting to buy one, but i think ill save up and do the +bhp mods all at once
intercooler, air filter, exhaust and tweaking.
so i can really feal the difference :)
