Yeah front bumper off. Hmm no after market potection, probbaly not true, however it might be harder to get.Ebay, espaesially international isuseful but then postage goes sky high.I remeber th bloke i went with had trouble getting his jate rings on.But they fitted eventually.depends exactly wot ya after.N bods on here would help.... and he said that there is no after-sales protection (diff. guards, steering guard, etc.) available for P38's. Lots of stuff for Classics, but squat for P38's.
All I need to do to take it off-road is take off the front bumper, apparently....

I have a brand new original Land Rover-manufactured winch mount for a P38 - and also the winch it was made to carry, namely the Warn 9000. The Warn is used and hasn't seen service for a few years, so likely could do with a new winch cable, or respooling, but was in good nick when I took it off my old 4x4. Its only seen light use. I bought the mount with the intention of modding my P38, but couldn't really face cutting the front bumper up and spoiling her good looks Still can't!
I thought of putting both up for sale on ebay but haven't got around tuit yet.
Unless the winch mount is modded for other makes, I was led to understand that there were only 2 winches made which it was intended to fit - the Warn 9000 was one, can't recall the other. Anyone interested PM me.
