Because, although I loves the sound of me doozle throbbing away when I'm driving along, I've decided to take the plunge and fit a sound system, so that I can either listen to the Light Programme, the BBC Home Service or even some music while I am travelling jollily along.

So I've just bought me a proper wireless, complete with a CD record player to fit in me Fender.

Only problem is that it has lead connections for four speakers and I've only got two!

Can I simply leave the two pairs of leads for the rear speakers disconnected, and if so am I likely to cause any damage to the wireless itself?
 
Yep you can just leave the wires hanging for the rear speakers mate, no harm will come to your new state of the art radio mathingy :D
 
It would be better to fit some extra speakers even if its just so you can hear it.
The fronts may not be very loud.
 
Almost finished fitting me new aerial, wireless and speakers yesterday! :D

The unit sits nicely between the vents and the shelf, but I had to go to Halfrauds for an aerial extension ... Nearly eight bloody quid!! :eek:

The existing hole in the roof had an old base that had to be removed. :D I finally resorted to drilling it out, and it left a 1" dia hole where it had been! :eek:One aluminium plate washer on each side of the base with a good smear of sealant between the outside one and the base, and a clean connection on the inside, and I dropped the M4 nut! :rolleyes: An hour later after emptying everything from the footwells and off the seats, I found it and clamped it all up. :D

The head lining came off easily, thanks to that Newton fella having invented gravity to help with the removal, so the speakers are now solidly mounted. :D

The bugger of it now is to get the headlining back where it should be! :eek:

Should I start at the front with the sun visors first, or at the back with the placky pushy-in bits? :confused:

Gentlemen (and ladies), I await your expert opinions!
 
Finally got the FN thing working!

The book of worms didn't say that the power supply and the ignition aux wires had to be strapped across otherwise the b'Stard thing won't work!!

Fooked up me headlining in the process of sticking it back up, so it looks like making a new one in the summer, coz it's too feckin cold outside at the moment!

All I need to do now is find out how to pretune the damned thing so that being a posh git, I can listen to the BBC Home Service, which has been rebranded as Radio 4.
 
not that one would encourage anyone to listen to radio 4, but if i was say trying to pre-tune a better radio station like kerrang. :) I would tune it in with the "seek" button (other methods are available) and then i would hold my finger on say the 1, 2, 3..........button until i heard a "beep"

Gorrit??? :D
