hi guys

Got my first ever land Rover last weekend, and just looking for some general advice.

I'm not looking to take it off road yet, so just after like a monthly check list of things I should be doing to keep for Defender in good working order.

One thing I have noticed is that ABS light remains on for i would say extra 3 seconds than the rest of the lights. something to worry about?

any tips/advice would be appreciated.

thanks

Would recommend a Haynes guide, but your year isn't covered.

When I got my 1996 90, I changed all the oils, all the filters, checked and replaced all the door seals and window seals. Prevention is the best way to go in my opinion, but thats just for everyday usage, not off roading.

ABS light shouldn't be anything to worry about, as long as it goes out eventually. But, I wouldn't know for sure as mine doesn't even have ABS :D

Chris.

ABS light what Trewey says. It wont go out until the wheels are turning either forward or reverse as it calibrates itself everytime you switch the ignition on and needs some movement to do so. Can catch out the MOT man as I've had two places try to fail mine until I explain. One fella even called LR as he though I was BS ing

when buying spare parts, steer clear of anything by BRITPART, seriously their stuff looks ok but will fail at the earliest opportunity.

lol even the MOD wont fit their stuff + they do things cheaper than cheap.

disclaimer ect..... personal oppinion....... blah blah -please dont sue me.
