Seen 3 or 4 cambelts snapped due to bump, or tow starting. Also snapped one myself after hitting a snow drift!

LOL!!! I'm now thinking that the bump I reverse it up when parking it dislodging a connection or something??? - it only seems to stop working when I get home!??? ...or am I grasping at straws?... taking it to a local electrical garage at the weekend to get it checked out but would welcome any 'stabs in the dark' meantime!![]()
Its your negative connector on the starter (black wire). They are a standard electrical push fit connector prone to loosening especially if they have been disconnected. Just use a small flat edge screw driver to compress the aperture of the terminal.
Happens when over rough terrain, excessive engine movements etc.
Hope this is your gremlin![]()
thank yu Taipan - but at least i tried - i did say poor electrical contact - just wrong place.
