hi all, did do a quick search but didn't see what i was looking for..
my beloved car at the moment, keeps intermittently jumping to Wade height...
happily goes back to normal when i tell it to with the selector switch..

as part of my ongoing search for my other EAS issues, i've already removed , soldered and heat shrunk the white connectors in the passenger kick panel...

what else should i be looking at ?

thanks as ever

could be, it's pretty moist inside the car when the weather turns...

i will drop the switch out tomorrow and take a look, also check over the AES ECU...

thanks

Switch is full of electronics don't play with it. Dry out by all means but don't poke around.

Unlikely to be the EAS ECU but could well be the connectors in the EAS box, the receptacles are sometimes loose, or the driver pack is know to cause this problem.

Ok. So yesterday i got stuck atWade height.
I had already cleaned and checked the ecu connections best i could.
Managed to get home. Read the fault.

Exhaust valve stuck closed.

Reset the fault but was still stuck in the air.
Later sneaky trip to the shops. And im on bump stops on my way home.

So is this the driver pack ?
Actually a stuck valve ??

Is there a way to deactivate the eas ? I. E. With the relay under the pass seat to stop it throwing errors until i get my spare valve block rebuilt ?

I know i leak a little air on a daily basis. But if i put the relay back in, make sure im pumped up. And then remove it again ????

Most people leak a little air or gas daily, it gets worse with age;)
As I said, check the connectors in the EAS box, the actual female part of the connectors can be loose on the mating pin causing valves to fail to operate. Also try removing the exhaust filter from the valve block, they can become blocked with dessicant from the dryer.
If you are using the RSW software, you can command the suspension to different heights and then pull the relay, or you can pull the pipes from the valve block fit schrader valves and blow it up to the required height with a garage compressor..

got it..

can i clean the Exhaust filter ? or just take it off and leave it off ? it is looking 'white '
on the ECU the whole multi pin down feel loose...
i did get a very small jewellers screwdriver and tried to make sure the pins were tight when mated..

as ever i appreciate all yr advice....

one last thing while i had a quick 10 mins this afternoon..

the rocker ( height selector switch ) which i know you said is packed with electronics too...

i've given it a blast of contact cleaner... and when rocking it back and forth ( wight eh ignition off )... i could hear a clicking from under the pass seat... wasn't sure if this was in the ECU ? it some function of the relay ?
i have your cable and RSW to clear the faults etc... so currently cleared and back at normal height... so will try pulling the relay tomorrow when i need to nip out

If the inside of the filter has white deposits, the dryer dessicant is breaking up, it gets in the valves and passages of the valve block potentially causing havoc. You can leave the exhaust filter (silencer) off to test.
The ECU connector is unlikely to cause a problem, as I keep saying it's the connectors in the EAS box that you need to look at. The parts will be loose in the plastic housing, it is the male to female metal parts that matter.

cool, will try take a look at the filter tomorrow... have also cleaned the EAS connectors inside the box with contact cleaner, but maybe i will try tighten them a little too if poss..
can you replace the dryer desiccant ? and if so with what ?

Get a new dryer, they are not expensive:)
