On the topic of jump starting... It's much safer ter start the working car, connect the flat car battery too it and leave it ter charge fer 5 ter 10 minutes. After that disconnect broke'd car from workin car then start the broke'd car oft it's own battery. This puts less stress ont workin car.

Ended up going to a specialist. It cost me £90.00!!!!!! The main dealers quoted me £2k.

P.s Like others, I would be interested to know what it was. The stealers are bad but 2k or £90, is a heck of a difference.
At £90, I'm guessing just diagnostic tool to sort something out.
