that's a big one and very heavy to handle / use.

That means the t35 one near me for £200 ain't too dear then. The guys been trying to sell it since Oct.
 
Make sure it's the correct type of wire rope.
Tirfor rope is specially woven to resist crushing by the jaws of the mechanism.
Ordinary wire rope will crush and allow the load to slip, with potentially disasterous consequenses.
The end without the hook should also be tapered, to allow easy feeding into the mechanism.
 
£1400 new, what bleedin planet does he live on, it's not even got a decent rope length on it, and it looks like it's a throw together, the scammin fooker:mad:
 
He is actually not far off with the new price. If you look a new T30/T35 is £1100 plus vat and £1200 plus vat with 20mm rope.
I think £650 for a second hand one is a bit steep though as who knows what condition its in!
