NEVER EVER get under a car when only suported by a hydrolic jack, ive got 3 and 3.5 ton jacks in my workshop but always use an axle stand

I absolutely agree with that.
I always use stands if I,m going under the car. And with rear air springs I always prop the chassis at the back not the axle !.
I saw a Landrover fall off jack onto the chap half under it. Not good.

Totally agree with using axle stands, if using jack always safer to lift under axle rather than chassis in some way. If new to 4x4 vehicle always looking in the handbook and see what they say. (low range, 1st gear, chock wheel etc etc)

It's fine for changing a wheel but never get under it without axle stands or similar.
