Trying to find a way to mount my high lift jack, would like it to be on the roof rack (have the box type roof rack not the tubular typre - i link a pic of the type I mean) and want to securely mount it so that bastids cant steal it. The roof rack mounts that I have seen for the high lift jack only cater for the tubular type. I dont really have access to welding, so does anyone have some smashing, inspiring ideas for me ? :)

Im gong to change my swing away carrier for one with a high-lift mount i think. If you need or want a swing away carrier then maybe you could kill 2 birds wif 1 stone. :)
 
can't be fooked to spend £190 of my precious non job 17 year old cash on one :p i just threw it in the back in the end, only just fits! And no that wasn't supposed to be a dity joke :eek:. It'l do for now, reason for not doing that in first place is i wanted to keep back free of stuff as it is a SW. Oh wel... Didnt get the hi lift mounts as there is no where suitable to put them really.
 
A 4' high lift fits tidy on the floor of my 90, tight up against the wheel arch.
A bolt, nut, then then a wing nut through one of the holes keeps it in place.

How much you after for it Ginger pubes? I'm on the lookout for one.;):D
 
Reason why I havent bolted it to the side is cause of the supports for the folding seats when they are down >.> it'l be alright for now I thnk :--)

I have o idea rats, it aint gonna be until next year now anyway. i dunt finish work till then. But ive not forgot about the roof bars either so ill keep you posted if you want?

Yes just like that, havent looked properly into it yet, no point because of work. but i had to take my jack off the rear panel for the mot as the fog light wouldnt fit back on! :doh:
