Has anyone recently had a vehicle iva/sva tested? I know it's been done hundreds of times before. Got a disco rotten body usual scenario 100" defender/series hybrid. I'm not wanting it for a road tax fiddle or anything. There are plenty of defender being broken for parts. I'm not fussed on having a 'Q' plate as long as the vehicle can be made legal. Everytime I search its seem to come back for results from years ago. Thanks in advance.

Quite a rare thing these days TBH as fewer people bother building at home.

If you download the manual and follow it accordingly then you shouldn't have any problems.

If you use the Disco chassis plus enough original parts from the Disco (at least initially) such as axles, suspension and gearbox, you should be able to keep the Disco's original registration. The chassis has to be unaltered though, so any brackets to mount the series bodywork to the chassis would need to be bolt-on rather than welded.
