NO ADVISORY'S

first off, welcome to the joys of disco ownership.
£400 for discs and pads - saw you coming my friend, more like £50 for bits.
as for rust, buy a welder now, pick up some bits of steel and start to learn, it will be easier in the long run, it dont matter if its pretty or not, as long as it is sound thats good enough.

Cheers
It's the previous owners £400 pound not mine lol I'm looking at welders now. I've Learned to do my homework and no what's what and I'd rather learn and understand how to do it all myself . It's enjoyable that way I find I'm loving all things disco.

Errmm yer! Getting parts is easy enough. It's the specialist tools and lack of space at the moment. ( I think yer that's easy to do but you need this you need that)

If the pads are worn in that short time you may have sticking calipers.
But on saying that check for yourself as they my still be ok.
The wheels are not removed for the MOT so they may just be guessing.

we waiting in the car park as they reversed out and the lined up at one end of the car park and accelerated then braked to a stand still twice then parked up ??

thats because 4x4 cant go on a standard break test it would just drive off, they have some funky acelermeter or something that tells them if its pulling braking force etc.

Makes sence! Thank you Paul.
Any one know what welding charges are there's days
Weighing up costs

Thanks again Paul.
Busy Monday for me ringing around for some quotes and ordering parts.
I would offer help to any fellow member to gain some landy knowledge.

thats not too bad...

buy a welder and learn how to use it...

you will need it every year from now on...

thats what i did when mine failed first mot on sills and sill body mounts..

2nd mot on rear body mounts n boot floor, n rear arches..

3rd mot only needs a little repair to rear arches..

it would of cost me a small fortune each time, but welder was £100, and a bit of practice...

Cheers nick I'm reading up on it all now but I have hardly any space don't think neighbours would like me welding in the street.

use ya landy to make hole in ya boundary and just drive in garden n call it a drive...

used mine that that for 3 years b4 shmbo made me surface the "drive"... lol...

Lol my discos bigger than the front garden. I got a massive back garden tho no access. I can do everything else.
