So I'm now the proud owner of a 'wreck', according to my Mum! The diff needs a recon, three hub seals and the fuel tank sender gasket leak a bit, the roof and liner need replacing along with the rear 1/3 of the chassis and the outriggers (the front 2/3 having been painted and in good order), the steering box moans a wee bit, the mud flaps have torn off, it's overly emblazoned with checker plate everywhere except in the tub where it's needed and its original 110 hood badge has been painted over, with the rest of the vehicle and a Defender badge and decals added. Also, there's no floor liners, at all and the lighter socket doesn't work... but it'll be in perfect working order after these issues have been fixed and the seats replaced! I had a Landie fanatic put it up on his ramp and he reckons the chassis is in better nick than expected.

So I'm looking for an onside wing (3 panels), two sill panels (both sides) and two rear panels for behind the rear wheels (the triangular ones). The rest I have already sourced. I'll also be selling off a checker plated hood in good nick and the galvanised front bumper with bull bar (slightly scratched and rust showing in a few places). Any tips on where I can best find this stuff and sell the hood and bumper? Many thanks folks ;)

Most of that sounds like the usual landrover experience. Bit of a tidy up and it will be fine. :)
Google, ads in specialist mags, etc. look for landrover breakers and phone them. Stuff you want to sell often goes well in back of local paper in rural areas, or ebay etc.
I might be interested in the bumper, wouldnt be able to pick it up for a bit, I am stuck on the farm over winter. PM me a price if you dont mind waiting!
You often see them with def badges stuck on. Yours would have had this type, obviously yours would have said 110. Earlier ones had a similar stuck on plate saying Landrover 110. or 90.

Make me a fair offer and I'll hold it for you ;) Here are some pix. Other than the spots you can clearly see, it's in good nick...

Nice one, mate! :)

Send us a pm what you want for it! ;) Good bit of life in the bumper, I can tart it up a bit with galvafroid. Bull bar I can take if no-one else wants it. I have pretty much the same bullbar on mine, and it has rusted in exactly the same places as that one. I shall be up that way in the spring, quite short detour to collect, no worries to pay up front if you will keep it.
