Bloke had broke down in his disco last night, tried to jump him off me mates girly TT.He sed he had a petrol v6 2.8 disco 1 on a m reg?Is that right?Looked like a landy injun but was dark

Also we couldnt jump it from the girly 1.8TT.Was this cos of limp battery or pants leads?

im sure land rover never made a v6 - was always v8's wunnit? they had the 3.5, then 3.9, then 4.0, 4.2 and 4.4. cant remember there ever being a 2.8 V6 in the lineup

prob a ford engine if v6 or a numpty who can't count

unless his battery was completely knackered you should have been able to jump start him. thicker the leads the more current they'll carry, Halfrauds car jumpleads are ****e and not worth bothering with for large vehicles 4x4's etc.

Pretty convinced it was a landy injun, had a landy stamp on the rocker cover.Werent a 3.9 v8, werent a tdi either cos ive spent a fair bit of time looking at them(read breaking em).However id agree with the lineup, hence the post.
Red, the cables were from the filling garage across the road and were a bit thin.We shot off once he grabbed a l200 to jump him, but it was a dezul and they dont crank many volts or amps or wotever do they?

actually i am talking bollox coz dont the freelander have a v6 - or the gaylander 1 at least

cant imagine anyone would take a v6 gaylander engine and put it in a disco!

yea think so - but thats a damn sight closer than a 3.5 or 3.9 v8, or the 2.0 mpi as mseries says - but the 2.0 mpi wasnt made as late as 1994/1995 if my memory serves correctly.

must be a later addition, im sure it isnt original. i dont think there were any landys built with a 2.8v6, including exports.

ask him what the engine is!

the long air box hose looks the same......althought the manifolds were different and i saw em on the off side.Couldnt be a rover injun could it?Didnt see any special vehicle badges onj it but then again didnt hang around too long either.

theres a few 2.8 V6 series chugging about, i think those were ford engines, but only seen one in the flesh and at that point hadnt much interest in where the engine was from!

they was made from 93 to late 97 an they are pure ****e ...i've got one !
