Just wondering as my range has gone in to get the fuel injection pump replaced, and on the 2nd day it being there i get a call to say they cant do it as they dont have the right puller.

He said that there are 4 different pullers and they have 3 of them but not the one for mine. He said that for a small vin range they used a different one.

Is this correct? as they are a big land rover specialist... and now a day job is gonna turn into a 2 week job waiting for the tool to be ordered!

I dont spose anyone has all the tools i can let them borrow to do the job, i really needed my car this side of the new year?

there filling you with a load of old ****e, theres only one pump removal tool for the bmw m51 engine. no pulleys where changed through out the use of the engine by, bmw, vx or landrover.

suppose with the bad weather there will be plenty o breakdowns for em to fleece their customers with instead of doing your fixed price job, get em phoned and tell em they are all liars:rolleyes:

Its a 1996 2.5 DT (BMW 6 Cyl Diesel)

It has really screwed up my plans for new year, sposed to be moving home on the 30th, now I've got to pospone that as I wont be able to commute to work.

I only used this place as I was recomended to them by someone I work with as we do there Motor Trade insurance, a big old premium too.. I wont mention there name until I've spoke to them again, and see if they can offer a courtesy car in the meantime.

You can get the M51 set from most good motor factors. They're also on ebay for around £100
