My first week in the "Mother Country" has seen the Rangie pass the MOT, with an advisory for the drag link ball joints slightly worn and the front ARB links slightly worn. Replacements shipped from Island 4x4 the next day.
Had to get the tea on for J the Range and Mike Polly and take a load of slagging from J, which I expected !! Mike was quiet and respectful of his elders in comparison !!
Next up to Manchester (Wasn't raining) but a pile up on the M6 by the M62 split kept me sitting in traffic and doing my bit for the Green Party and the ozone layer for the best part of an hour. Met Mike again and chauffered my North of England mentor and Manager "Gemsdad" for supervision. Enjoyed a couple of jars of Holt's Nectar :5bcheers2: and hammered the large obligatory pack of Jammie Dodgers supplied by Mike :clap2::clap2::clap2:
Yesterday up to Grantham to sort out Bertybe and never went short of tea. Called into Maggie Thatcher's but she had gone out shopping and forgotten the list, the last they heard, she was wondering around Copenhagen with a Yak trainer from Mongolia.

I will keep you posted on my exploits.:D:D:D:beer2::beer2::beer2::beer2::beer2:

Ere you aint popped in here for a cuppa....you must be tea'd out by now.

You will have our American cousins on here thinking that I am on the other side of the fence.:hippie::welcome::tea::hysterically_laughi

Sparky and Briggsy..I may be continuing my grand tour next week in East Yorkshire, I'll PM you both when I know for certain.
I am not getting down and dirty 'cos the Sister charges a bottle of Gin every time she puts the washer on!!
It wasn't my fault the other night, Gemsdad dragged me screaming down to the pub.
Regarding the Jammy Dodgers, I only had about six, the other greedy bastids ate the rest behind my back whilst I was working.
Sirus, I have to work up to a peak of physical fitness and completely master the Yam Yam to Brummie dictionary before I venture accross the border to enjoy a typical warm and friendly Black Country night out with the "Natives". I am really looking forward to meeting the locals within the next few weeks. C'mon people..get those PM's going so we can sort something out. By the way, Jammy Dodgers and Bathams don't mix with gray payse and bacon.
"J"..I only put the big wheels on so that I could get more mpg on my tour...at the moment I am averaging 55mpg out of the 4.6, V8 on petrol.................dream on!!!!!

Hi MHM.
I would love to come and meet the educated and wealthy elite down your way. I was due to pick up a few bits from Cirencester area, but he decided to post them to me because he was afraid my presence may lower the tone of the neighbourhood.
Let's see if anything crops up.
Some years ago, I used to work for a Company in Bessemer Rd., Basyngstoches..well got paid by them anyway....work is a four letter word associated with dirt, grease and sweat, together with a load of cussin.
Let's see what transpires.......watch your Inbox.

Irish,

You wouldn't per chance like to visit the WORLD FAMOUS Seaside town of Blackpool would you????

EVERYBODY Visits The"pool" when trotting around England .......

Ronata Rangie has bin poorly in bed fer days now .......She says its her OSF thats givin her GYP!! ... I've tried those theraputic Heat wraps, Ibuprofin Tabs, & even a Massage from the local Parlour ( Fling-Ya-Fat I think she was called!!!)

She very insistant that only the healing hands of Dr Irish will help!!!

I will go anywhere with my Green Godess. She is the only one I have over here and unfortunately she has a drink problem which needs to be fulfilled. The further I take her, the more she drinks. If you are prepared to satisfy her thirst, I am sure something could be arranged. PM me if you wish me to carry out a full internal examination.

oi oi irish

i need to hook up with you for beer and a fault out on the silver one and a BECM recode

can come to you if that is easier or you to me
have a ramp if you need to fit your bits

Hiya Cavey...You have been keeping a low profile lately.
In Buxton tomorrow and who knows what will happen the day after!! It's gone crazy with the old becm problems so far.
Definately get together for a :beer2::beer2::beer2: and to sort you out. If you have my mobile, give me a bell, if not, PM me and I will give it you.

Use of the ramp would be useful, unfortunately I don't have anything bigger than a 1/4" drive socket set and a soldering iron with me!! and Er Indoors would not let me bring my Roll around over.
She is off to the States next week, does that suit??
