Hi,
I have a 1997 110 300tdi, ocassionally when I go to start it, I get ignition lights but nothing else, I've just removed an aftermarket immobilzer just in case and was wondering if there is a starter relay that's easy to change before I go down the starter motor route ? Thanks

i had a similar problem on 92' 200tdi. starter motor was knackered.

Does yours have one of those 'spider' things in the front of the battey compartment? If it does, you can remove it and I'll tell you how to do that.
