200tdi...40 mile drive..radiator top hose warm, bottom hose lukewarm, heater working lovely..great.

Intercooler pipes stone cold..i can put my hand on the intercooler matrix and top metal pipe..

Is this normal???????

Perfectly normal

Circuit has nothing to do with water circulation

Intercooler designed to chill down ambient air (it shrinks) to increase power when under combustion

Although starting with -7c today it doesn't need any....

Ah right..tis colder than that here...that will probably explain why it runs better in the warmer weather..seems to be down on power when its too cold. Thanks

Intercooler is designed to remove the heat which has been put into the intake air by being compressed by the turbocharger! I wouldnt think it would warm up much on 200 in Danish winter.

Theoretically you should get more power when its cold, cold air can expand more than hot! I think any gain would be cancelled out by the drag of the transmission oils, very thick when it is bitterly cold;)

Please dont say this...i have supressed the suspicion that my turbo is not working to full capacity for ages..
