hey all
the hose out of my intercooler on my 2003 TD4 that goes into top manifold then onto egr is chafing.
the hose (on front left of engine) is chaffing against the manifold screw.
I've got a new hose but wondered best solution to stop it rubbing?

Use a section of the old hose as a sleeve.

Use cable ties and pull it free of the area that's causing the damage, i.e. tie it onto the car body somewhere.

exactly as longdog said, split the old one down it's length, wrap round and secure with cable ties, stainless steel are best.

forget tying it out of the way to a body part, there is nothing handy that would work.
