Right, Im about to take delivery of my next '94 Reg Disco ES...but im now only going to be using it generally for 'laning.

Now, I bought some AT's 12 months ago from a local chappy...who was running a 300tdi...and was on some kind of limited mileage 4x4 insurance or something...and told me it was £150 for the year.

A few months down the line I was looking at getting a Series 2 or 3...looked at insurance...ang got a quote around the £150 mark...but that was on classic car insurance...and for the life of me I cant think where that quote was from.

Basically, on limited mileage, normal use (3k miles) its coming up about £50 cheaper than if i do 13000 miles WTF !!! Its total garbage, compared to the info (or bull****) ive been told, about being able to get insured for £150!!

Can anyone help??

Cheers :)

a mate who works for a car insurance told me that the mileage thing works on a tick curve, so the premium goes down slightly from say 1-3k and then starts going up again. so it's not necessarily good to undestimate your mileage!

I got my renewal from sureterm direct today, £180 fully comp plus breakdown for my 90 with a £250 voluntary excess. the cheapest quote I've had anywhere else was £300, so maybe give them a go...
