cant git temp cover fer driving the turd back from kernow if i buy it off boggle cos am too young! Can't afford a grand fer a years insurance and i int payin stupid money monthly

good thinking trewy !!!!!!!!
bt the problems still there still going to cost a fortune to insure

Has your own insurance got "third party for driving someone elses car"? If so, ask Boggle if he won't send the paperwork off for a couple of days then you're effectively still driving his car under your own insurance, till it gets transfeerred to being yours!

I agree though, the problem of costly insurance is still there! (although the cost of insurance will be the least of your worries with the Turd - tis a thursdy ole beast!)

it will be tpft or tpo as I'll be doin less than 1000 miles and be keepin it away on a farm! I can't put any no claims on it as my only year is on the slitty. but i think I'm going to try and find someone to lend me the rest of the in-sewer-ants money and I'll pay them back monthly, til feb when my insurance runs out on the slitty, and I'll have 2 years NCB to play with. That's the plan anyway.

What's a "Turd" and what's a "Slitty"?

I'm 28 (I'm only back driving again as my licence is now clean) I've got no no-claims bonus and for my 4 litre V8 Disco, Admiral wanted about £570, however they gave me the option of adding an older driver to the policy to reduce the premium so I added mum who has a full no claims bonus and it reduced the premium to £375 (and that's fully comp)

Try Admiral and if you know of an older driver or two that wouldn't mind being on your policy then add them and see if it reduces the premium any.

EDIT: Where the hell is Kernow? and can't you take someone with you whose own policy covers any vehicle to drive it back for you?

Boggles v8 RRC is known as the turd due to it's colour :D and my car is a nissan so people here call it the slitty! I've tried admiral, and as my no claims is tied up i have none, but I'm only 20, and they quoted me around 1500. I'll try again though, and ask about putting my dad on the policy, good shout! :)

Kernow is cornish for cornwall, 4 and a half hours away  I think I'm going to ask GamekeeperJames to come with, he's got that cover, I just wanted to be able to drive it back myself! I'll get jealous on the roadtrip back haha!

Just spoke to farmer james and he says I can have a parking space, and he won't charge me the earth either, fingers crossed eh lol.

Turd is the affectionate name for his new purchase (rangerover)
Slitty is jap crap (mits s**gun type vehicle)
Kernow is the land of pasties (cornwall)

Ah right, congratulations on your new purchase!

Is Farmer James and GameKeeperJames the same person then? I take you know GameKeeperJames quite well then?

Cornwall, ouch, If it was close I would have offered to drive it for you but I just checked with Admiral and they won't give me cover for any other vechicle because I don't work :(
