Quick question???

Do you need to be Corgi registered to fit an LPG kit to a car?

I think some kits you can, and some you can't. I think on the ones you can do yourself, you need to have the conversion checked later on by a qualified person.

Fitted one to a P38 a few year ago no problems but you will have to take it to an LPG installer and get it checked over and certificate for your insurance company but thats not a pricey job.

There are some that are best left to an installer like multi points due to the amount of time it takes but single point systems are quite easy.

As far as I know you DO NOT need gas safe/corgi reg to fit any kind of gas to a vecicle or a house.....you only need it if its your job.

Anyone carrying out work on gas appliances or fittings as part of their business must be competent and a Gas Safe Registered engineer [3].

Now I could be wrong and you may well run in to problems with insurance or when you sell but its not illegal.

You have to be gas safe registered to carry out any work on gas appliances either as a job, or indeed on a DIY basis within a house. You are not permitted by law to carry out any work whatsoever on the gas side of a gas appliance, beit a cooker, boiler, gas fire etc unless you are suitably qualified and registered with gas safe
