I have an early 110 V8.

I am about to commence a bulkhead swap -. I know my in-situ inner Wings are not in great nick.

Can I replace with newer plastic type?
I assume they are better that the steel type?

I dont think they are, I also think the latter ones are just lined arnt they? Originals should be galvanised.

Originals are heavy galvanised. Get a set of those I reckon, or re-galv yours if they are still solid?

Mine are/were galvanized steel. no longer solid, hence the question..

Just replace them like for like, the originals lasted this long, like for like will probably outlast the rest of the vehicle. Dont get too caught up on trying to make parts last forever. I remember years ago on one of the forums someone was going on about trying to make their bulkhead last forever, it was suggested he have one made out of gun metal.
