Need to do a bit of rot replacement on the 300tdi I've just bought. Do any of you knowledgeable folks know what thickness the steel is so I can purchase a sheet of it from eBay? I don't need to replace the whole lot so I don't need to buy a yrm bespoke job.
I've already got a sheet of 2.5mm but that seems over kill.
Thank you kindly :D

Overkill works for me id use the 2.5mm, or id just weld it with what I had even if it was 6mm lol

I use a localish steel stock holders, it's been a few years now but an 8'x4' sheet of slight damage was £15.

Thanks for the replies, I've just bought a sheet of the stuff off eBay, not quite as cheap as yours @Flossie but at least I won't have to drive to Loughborough to collect it

Recycled everything I could in the time I had, had a discovery, p38 and now this discovery since then :p current one has 10 months Mot but needs a couple of jobs doing before it goes back on eBay. It cleaned up pretty well though but it'll be pulling the engine out on Friday to sort out the noisy flex plate
