:)Can anyone tell me is it better to take rear 1/4 panel
Off to replace inner arch.the full arch is rotten.and is it easy
To get the 1/4 panel off.cheers

The full quarter panel will come off but it's a big job that requires reomving the glass and stripping thewhole of the rear interior out in order to get at all the bolts and screws. It's also sealed to the body frame and that needs cutting thru. I've gone it when stripping a disco and it's a real pain in ass job.

Just removed and refitted both rear 1/4's on a 200 and as said above its very labour intensive. Althou we left the glass in. However it has made the repairs alot better, and should last a year or two longer, well hopefully. Depends on how much work you are willing to do.

Have done my ones last week yup the rear quarter needs to come off if you are going to do a proper job. It takes forever you need about an afternoon.

doing Well as little as possible would be nice .
:rolleyes:but that's not going to happen,so might as well do it right
Now.hopefully a bit more time spent now means a bit longer between
Rebuilds.:hysterically_laughi
.thanks for your replies

I have never gone the route of taking the quarter panel off but then I have managed to to cut and patch in on the inner rear arch until now so I dont know how the panel comes and what to pros and cons are - could someone who has done it give us a run through of how and why ? For future ref ? Please ?
