have you done the filters, checked the hoses and wastegate travel ?

there's plenty of things to be done before i'd start changing injectors

having said that if you do correctly conclude that it is an injector i've got a few sets of good working useduns not so far away from you if it'd help
 
Cheers sean will keep that in mind, got plenty of boost and new filters, I havent had much time to have a good look, but it's not quite right, pumps been adjusted a little and it used to put out a bit of black smoke when you booted it, just till it was warm, now it doesn't , maybe boost diaphram in pump .

As sean says above... but have a check of yer glow plugs and when was the last time the intercooler was cleaned out?
Just had something simillar and took it tae a garage for a compression test.. presures were fine. Mines was blowing a bit of smoke and was told the timing was out just a wee bit and because ah've bin usin' veg oil there was summit tae to with the injection pump probably gumming up a bit and was then told to run some injector cleaner fluid through it for 4 or 5 tanks worth. Ah stuck some in as soon as ah got back from the garage and ah've started to notice the lack of smoke already.... might be an idea to try that furst;):D
 
I havent cleaned the intercooler, but pulled the top pipe off and inside the cooler looked clean so I don't think its that, will give the injector cleaner a try.
 
Just don't do what we did to my cousins disco, 4 full tank treatment of redex injector cleaner, cleaned out the diesel tank, half filled it and chucked the whole thing of redex in, was smoking for about 200 miles but it didn't half clean her out, after that we flushed intercooler, upped boost on the turbo and increased flow from the injector pump shes sweet now, going to take it to twisted performance sometime probably after x-mas and get some more out of her, hopefully!
 
most truck workshops (big ones) have testers injectors or can tell you where to get done , normaly chead ie see dave at xyz about lunch time and he will prob check them £5 or so worth asking around as there about £90-100 new
