It said 3 were showing poor spray pattern and pressure to high under load. And 3, all showing exactly the same reading showing they don't hold pressure. The guy did explain it and said they were all faulty.
so, three with possible blockages and three with internal leaks??
that sounds a bit more plausible.
as you say 1or 3 injectors at most at fault but all 6! But these things do and can happen. A second opinion may help!

Yeah I'm sure it's possible, it did seem odd that 3 had exactly the same report. Same pressure under load etc. Again, possible I'm sure. I've been offered 6 used but "tested" injectors at a good price but could be more trouble than they're worth. But £720 to have the injectors refurbished isn't going to happen. Especially as I have doubts
if the used ones on offer, have a guarantee, it's a small piece of mind. You could ask if they fail in the warranty period, would they be prepared to pay for any labour involved to remove and put them right. Big ask, but they should be confident and say yes! If not, you've no real guarantee at all!!

Yeah I did ask that. They will only cover the price of the part. To be fair I can get them out in less than an hour so not stressed about that just the hassle if they are as bad as what I've already got.
good thing is you can fit them yourself, at least your having to pay someone else to do it on top of the injector prices.. It's a tough one I'll say that, but it's your call.

Yeah its definitely the cost that's the issue. Even if refurb were double I'd get them but they are £720 over £250 plus I've been offered £25 each for my old ones so the gamble will only really cost £125 if they aren't any better. So £720 to new 100% sure or £125 as a gamble.
when you put it like that buddy, I think I would take the gamble and go for the tested used ones. That sure is a lot of money!! Your decision, call a friend or ask the audience!!

I've emailed the guy and said I'm going to buy the used Ones and have a mate test them for me before I fit them so if they aren't good they will be returned. If he still wants to sell them to me I'll assume they are ok. Fingers crossed

So I got the used but tested injectors. Turned out to be a totally genuine seller. I went to pick them up and he asked if I'd like to see them being tested. I spent a couple of hours with him as he tested them and explained it all to me. A chap really worth knowing.
Any way, injectors in and car runs great. All the issues I thought could be injectors turned out to be just that.
He's also offered to test my old injectors for me so I can sell on any that are still ok and any that are faulty he will buy off me.
