I have what I hope is diesel knock on number two cylinder have reset injection timing and changed lift pump and diesel purged but still there.I see sets of four injectors for £165 and nozzles for £66 are these OK for edc? Will changing the nozzles be half a fix or should I change the whole injector will get number 4 injector reconditioned.

If you have a 300TDI with EDC you will not need 4 identical injectors as one of them has a sensor fitted for the EDC so it is a different part number. All the injectors for EDC are a different part number compared to an ordinary 300 Tdi

New parts are always better than old or reconditioned but will cost more.
Have you had a diagnostic check yet ?
Make sure you have got the true problem identified before you spend ££££'s on parts, you can always try a bottle of Millers ecomax etc or / and a fuel injector cleaner, and check for air / fuel leaks in the pipes etc .
Always try the free / cheaper options first

I have an EDC pump, pipes and injectors that I removed from my 1998 D1 Auto. This was all working when removed if you are interested.

Done some digging about and err3339(£160 for 4) for none edc.for edc err3348 x3(£160 each!) and err3337(£260) for the wired one.don't think I'm that loaded going swap injectors around to see if the knocking moves with the injector and take it from there.

My car is EDC as well so I am surprised you could get a price for err3337 as I thought they had been no longer available for ages.

If you are going to swop injectors around don't forget to buy seals because you will need a new one each time.
I was hoping to get £100 for the four injectors and pump.

thanks for the offer bigjak but will go with fuel pump conversion if the injector(s) are worn out i take it thats what you have done.
